The movie stars Jeff Bridges (Starman, The Big Lebowski King Kong 1977), Matt Damon (Good Will Hunting, The Talented Mr Ripley, The Bourn movies), Halilee Steinfield (She's a Fox) and Josh Brolin (Milk, Jonah Hex).
The plot is Bridges is hired by Steinfield to find the man, Brolin, who kills her father. Damon also joins in on the hunt.
I rated the B a solid go and see or rent the movie. The movie has a steller performance from Bridges. He is a little hard to understand at times but fits the character. Steinfield also gives a steller performance. Both actors give a performance good enough to go and see the movie. Damon does a good job. Brolin's role for me is small. If you want to go and see the movie only because of Brolin I would be disapointeed. The other performances carry the movie but I think it wrong to put his name on the poster and not Steinfield. She has a much bigger role and does a great job. I really dont think the size of Brolins role is of deserving of bening on the poster but I guess thats Hollywood.
If the origional is anything like the remake it must be good also. The fact that John Wayne received his only Oscar for True Grit has to say something about the quality of the origional.
