Eight Men Out (1988 PG)

The movie stars John Cusack (Stand By Me, High Fidelity), Christopher Lloyd (Taxi tv, Back to the Future trilogy), David Strathairn (Good Night and Good Luck, Silkwood), Charlie Sheen (Wall Street, Two and a Half Men), and DB Sweeney (A Day in October).
The plot is a recounting of the 1919 Black Sox scandel in the World Series.   I rated the movie as a C.  With the cast I was expecting  it to be better.  It is one of the movies that is based on a true story that just dd not make a good transactin to film.  The ending was good with the character of Shoeless Joe Jackson playing in a minor league 6 years later.  You get to decide if it was him or not.  It did have greed of the owners, the trial and the instalation of a comminisher of baseball.
If you want to strem a baseball movie do Field of Dreams, The Natural, or Bull Durham.
