This movie stars Tobey Maguire. He has been in Pleasentville, Spiderman series, The Cider House Rules, and Seabiscut are a few of his movies. Also Jake Gyllenhaal who has been in Moonlight Mile, Jar Head, Brokeback Mountain among others. Natalie Portman movies have included The Professional, Cold Mountain, Garden State and No Strings Attached among others. The movie also stars Mare Winningham, Sam Shepard, and Clifton Collins Jr.
The basic plot is while Maguire is a POW Gyllenhaal helps Portman with her two daughters. Maguire is rescued and the movie from that point is how he deals with being home. The movie is well done and hard to watch at times. It deserves the R rating and is not a movie for young kids.
I rated this movie a B. The climax of the movie is very well done. I dont know anyone with PTSD but this movie seems to give a realistic description of the disorder.. In a time of war this movie should be watched by people to get a small glimpse of what war can do to people.
