Win Win (2010 R)

The movie stars Paul Giamatti (Sideways, American Splendor), Amy Ryan (War of the Worlds, Capote), Bobby Cannavale (The Station Agent, 100 Feet), Jeffrey Tambor (Get Well Soon, Radioland Murders), Burt Young (Rocky, Back to School), Melanie Lynskey (Two and a Half Men tv, Leaves of Green), Alex Shaffer, and Margo Martindale (Mo, Lorenzo's Oil).
The plot is Giamatti plays a second rate lawyer, and part time wrestling coach, in need of clients.  He gets one and becomes his guardian and $1500 a month as a fee.  His plan gets him into trouble when the grandson of the new wealthy client, a great wresler.  The daughterof his clients show up for some of the payday.
I had high expectations for this movie.  It was directed by the guy who directed The Station Agent (stream this movie as soon as you can) and also stars Cannavale, also from The Station Agent.  I like a lot of what Giamatti has been in.  Its hard to live up to the expectations I had.
The movie starts off very slowly.  I dont thnk it got started to get good untill the kid arrives on the scene.  Shaffer, I assume he playes the wrestler, does a great job.  he gives an understated performance that works very well.  I like the head slaps.  Just because it seems like we live in a litigious society that if any parent sees that they would say something about it.
More then a few movies think that excesive cursing is something that is funny.  Let me try and be polite to the people who think that excesive cursing is funny.  You are dead fucking wrong.  The cursing in this movie by Cabbavales character is funny.  Its used in the correct portion and he is told not to do it around kids.  That makes it funny to me.
The climx was alright not great but well done.  Im rating this movie as  C+.  I had high expections so maybe if I watch it in the future I will enjoy it more.  Go and see it and I hope your expectstions arent as high as mine.
